A third candidate has entered the race for a seat on the Madison City Commission.  Incumbent commissioner Kelly Johnson filed his nominating petitions with the City Finance Office on Friday.  Johnson joins Adam Shaw and Patrick Mullen in filing petitions so far for the two seats open on the Madison City Commission this year.  Three others are currently circulating petitions also for the city election, including Jenny Wolff, Jerae Wire, and incumbent commissioner Jeremiah Corbin.  The deadline to file petitions is February 28th.

Two candidates have filed nominating petitions so far for a seat on the Madison Central School Board.  Richard Avery and incumbent board member Rob Honomichl have both filed their petitions with the Madison Central Business Office.  There are two seats open also on the Madison Central School Board. School Board members and Madison City Commissioners each serve three year terms.

Again, the deadline for all city and school board candidates to file nominating petitions is February 28th.  A joint election is scheduled for April 14th.
