Jen Easterly to speak at DakotaCon

Jen Easterly, Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), will visit Dakota State University to speak at the annual DakotaCon Cybersecurity Conference 

Easterly has more than 20 years in intelligence and cyber operations in the U.S. Army which  includes receiving two Bronze Stars. She has been a Special Assistant to President Obama and Senior Director for Counterterrorism, and Executive Assistant to National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice. She has been with CISA since 2021 and helped establish the U.S. Cyber Command. She graduated from West Point, and has a master’s degree from Oxford, where she was a Rhodes Scholar.

The annual DakotaCon Cybersecurity Conference will be at 9 a.m Friday, March 22 in the Dakota Prairie Playhouse. After Easterly’s  keynote remarks, she will join Dakota State University President José-Marie Griffiths and Dr. Mary Bell, Dean of The Beacom College of Computer & Cyber Sciences, in a panel discussion.
