Heritage Senior Living Changing Name to Peaceful Pines Senior Living

While many senior living communities across South Dakota are closing, HME Companies based in Brookings, is developing and constructing locations. That includes an expanded facility in Madison that is currently under construction.

In 2021, HME purchased Heritage Senior Living, a 24-unit Assisted Living Community, and is expanding the community’s care level to include Memory Care and Independent Living in an approximately 65,000 sq ft. development. The new location will be capable of housing 50 residents, and feature amenities, including a salon, pub, theater, and outdoor courtyard.

Starting May 1st, Heritage Senior Living will update its name to “Peaceful Pines Senior Living”.

Kristi Ludwig, Administrator of Heritage, says they are looking forward to growing their family at the new Peaceful Pines location.

Peaceful Pines will open with 19 Independent Living and 31 Assisted Living apartments this year. Once all residents have moved to the new location, HME Companies will remodel Heritage Senior Living’s building near downtown Madison, into a 24-unit, secure Memory Care community.

The Peaceful Pines in Madison is scheduled for current residents to start moving in on August 1st.

HME also operates facilities in Rapid City and Milbank, and has a facility under construction in Fort Pierre.
