This Friday is the deadline for candidates interested in running for a seat on the Madison City Commission or Madison Central School Board to file their nominating petitions.

So far, three people have entered the race for the two seats open on the Madison City Commission.  Adam Shaw, Patrick Mullen, and incumbent city commissioner Kelly Johnson have all filed their nominating petitions for the city election.  Others who have taken out petitions are Jenny Wolff, Jerae Wire, and incumbent commissioner Jeremiah Corbin.  

Two candidates have filed nominating petitions so far for a seat on the Madison Central School Board.  Richard Avery and incumbent board member Rob Honomichl have both filed their nominating petitions with the Madison Central Business Office.  There are two seats open on the School Board this year.  

School board members and Madison City Commissioners each serve three year terms.

The deadline to file nominating petitions is Friday, February 28th.  A joint city and school board election is scheduled for April 14th.
