Four more positive COVID-19 cases have been identified in the Madison Central School District. Superintendent Joel Jorgenson said Tuesday that two students or staff members in Madison High School and two in Madison Elementary School have tested positive for COVID-19.  Jorgenson said they have notified parents to watch for any COVID-19 symptoms in their children during the next fourteen days.  He said that the district is working with the state Department of Health to determine anyone identified as a close contact to these most recent cases.  Parents or guardians of any close contacts will be notified by the school district.

These additional four positive cases put the total number of cases overall within the district at 36 since early September.  Information on active and recovered cases within the district will be updated Wednesday on the school district’s website. Â
