Lake County and the City of Madison are hosting a public meeting Monday evening to provide information regarding the Federal Emergency Management Agency Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.  The information will be related to the acquisition or relocation of structures damaged by flooding events in 2019, or had been flooded repeatedly in the past.

The meeting will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Madison City Commission room in Madison City Hall.

Representatives from the First District Association of Local Governments and the South Dakota Office of Emergency Management will present information regarding the grant program.  The meeting is open to the public.

Anyone needing more information can contact Lake County Emergency Manager Kody Keefer, Commission Administrative Officer Shelli Gust, or City Finance Officer Jennifer Eimers. Â
