DSU AI Seminar

Governor Kristi Noem was in Madison on Friday, to deliver remarks during a seminar from the Special Competitive Studies Project, at Dakota State University. The Special Competitive Studies Project, or SCSP makes recommendations to strengthen America’s long-term competitiveness for a future where artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies reshape our national security, economy, and society.

In particular, the project looks for ways to counter China’s influence in these technologies. Governor Noem says DSU plays a large role in protecting America.

Dr. PJ Maykish is a special advisor to the SCSP. He says the work being done at DSU is a major part of a new digital front line.

The representatives of the SCSP said the current war in Ukraine has proved to be a wake up call to the world, about the dangers of Russian and Chinese aggression.
