A downtown Madison business has received approval to put out it’s temporary platform in front of it’s business.  Madison City Commissioners on Monday approved Sundog Coffee’s request to have it’s platform out in front of it’s business on South Egan Avenue starting in April.  The platform is eight feet by twenty feet and will include seating for approximately six to twelve people.  Sundog asked for the permit to have the platform out through November, weather permitting.  Commissioner Bob Thill said he thought the commission should set the end date for November 1st, but his motion to that effect died for lack of a second.  The commission’s motion to allow the platform to be in place in front of Sundog through November, weather permitting, passed on a 4-to-1 vote, with Commissioner Thill voting against it. Â
