Crabtree appointed to serve out District 8 Senate term
A new state Senator will represent District 8 for the remainder of the year. Governor Kristi Noem has announced that she is appointing Casey Crabtree of Madison to represent District 8 in the state Senate. Crabtree will fill out the term of Senator Jordan Youngberg, who announced his resignation from the position last week. Crabtree’s appointment is effective immediately and will continue through the end of 2020. He is currently the Republican nominee for the State Senate in the general election in November and is unopposed.
Crabtree serves as director of economic development and governmental affairs at Heartland Consumers Power District in Madison. He and his wife, Ashley, live in Madison with their two children.
