The state Department of Health reported 21 additional COVID-19 deaths over the weekend, bringing the state’s virus-related death toll to 1705.  More than four-hundred new positive COVID-19 cases were also reported since Friday, bringing the state’s total number of positive cases since the start of the pandemic to more than 107-thousand.

As of Sunday, there were just more than four-thousand active COVID-19 cases in the state, and 162 people are hospitalized because of the virus. 

Lake County reported 11 more positive COVID-19 cases over the weekend, with eight recovered cases.  The county currently has 61 active COVID-19 cases, and 50 residents have ever been hospitalized.

Moody County had 39 active cases as of Sunday, Kingsbury County had 35, and Miner County reported 25 active COVID-19 cases.  McCook County had 15 active cases Sunday, and Brookings County reported 206.
