County commissioners appoint new member to Highway & Bridge Advisory Committee

Lake County Commissioners have appointed a new member to the county’s Highway and Bridge Advisory Committee.  Commission Administrative Officer Shelli Gust told commissioners during their meeting Tuesday that one of the committee members, Blake Neu, had provided notice that he no longer wanted to serve on the committee. Gust said that one of the people who applied to be a public member of the committee last fall was interested in serving.  Commissioners Tuesday approved appointing Mathew Wollmann of Madison to the Highway and Bridge Advisory Committee.  Commission Chair Kelli Wollmann recused herself from the discussion and vote on the appointment. 

Commissioners formed the committee to come up with recommendations regarding the county’s roads and bridges.  The discussion of the committee came about after commissioners decided last July against imposing a new tax levy in the county to help fund county road improvements.
