The Lake County Commission has approved an agreement for striping several miles of Lake County’s roads. County Administrative Officer Shelli Gust told county commissioners Tuesday that the agreement covers approximately twelve miles of county roads. She said that the majority of the miles of striping will be paid for with federal funding.
Gust said the remaining two miles of striping is estimated to cost the county close to 16-hundred-74 dollars.
Also on Tuesday, commissioners approved the hiring of a new Heavy Equipment Operator for the county’s Highway Department. Wyatt Cassutt will work full-time at a rate of $18.25 an hour, with a start date to be determined.
