City to consider DSU right-of-way permit for parking

Madison City Commissioners will again be considering an application from Dakota State University for a permit to occupy right-of-way for parking.  Commissioners this week acknowledged an application from DSU to occupy the right-of-way at the corner of Northwest 3rd Street and Van Eps Avenue near the university’s Van Eps Place housing.

During their meeting Monday, commissioners heard from City Administrator Jameson Berreth regarding the permit application.

Commissioners acknowledged DSU’s application for the permit to occupy the right-of-way and set a hearing date on it for their meeting on August 2nd.  Berreth said that the city will also send out notices regarding the application and hearing to surrounding property owners.
