The Madison City Commission has adopted a couple of resolutions for the assessment rolls for the city’s 2019 sidewalk improvement and sidewalk repair improvement projects.  During their meeting Tuesday, commissioners approved resolutions directing the preparation, filing and setting of a public hearing on the assessment rolls for the two projects.  City Finance Officer Jennifer Eimers told commissioners that the total amount of the assessment roll filed for the 2019 sidewalk improvement project is just more than 22-thousand-300-dollars, and for the sidewalk repair improvement project is close to ten-thousand-600-dollars.

City Engineer Chad Comes told commissioners why the city files these assessment rolls.

The property owners listed on the assessment rolls will be notified by letter this week.  Commissioners will hold public hearings on the two resolutions during their meeting on September 28th.
