City approves funds transfer for Madison Community Center
The Madison City Commission has approved a transfer of funds for the Madison Community Center. Community Center Director Nick Hansen met with commissioners during their meeting Monday and asked that money be transferred from the center’s Capital Outlay and Maintenance Reserve to its operating budget. Hansen said that they are working on getting things back in order after losing revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic, but need the transfer of funds to help with the next payroll. He said the Community Center will receive it’s contribution from Dakota State University next month, which will also help them out.
Hansen said the Community Center will be having a special next month for those wanting to use the indoor pool.
Hansen said the pool will be open daily for swimming from 1:00 until 7:45.
