Area projects to receive GOED funding

A couple of area projects have been approved for loans and grants from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.  

The GOED’s Board of Economic Development approved a loan of 144-thousand dollars for Whirlwind Investments, LLC.  The funding will assist with the purchase of business assets in Chester.  The loan is through the SD Works program.

Redstone Dairy in Kingsbury County was approved for a grant of four-point-four-million dollars through the Reinvestment Payment Program.  This funding will assist with the construction of a new dairy facility.  

The other two projects are located in Turner County and in Rapid City.  

The applications were approved during the Board of Economic Development’s meeting this past week.
