Absentee voting begins Monday for Madison City Commission election

Absentee voting begins Monday for the Madison City Commission election.  The election for two seats open on the Madison City Commission this year will be held on Tuesday, April 13th.  Anyone wishing to vote early or absentee in the election can do so starting Monday, March 29th by contacting the City Finance Office. Also, Monday is the last day for anyone who is not registered to vote to do so before the April election.

There are three candidates on the ballot for the two terms up for election on the commission this year.  Jeremiah Corbin, Kelly Dybdahl, and incumbent commissioner Bob Thill are seeking the two, three-year terms.

The Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce is holding a candidate forum on Wednesday night in the Tunheim Classroom Building Auditorium on the campus of Dakota State University.  There will be limited in-person capacity for the event and masks will be required.  The forum, which starts at 7:00 p.m., will also be streamed on the Chamber’s Facebook page.
