The Madison Fire Department was called to respond to a few calls this past weekend.

Fire Chief Randy Minnaert said they were called to a residence southwest of Madison Saturday afternoon at around 4:15.  He said that there had been a controlled burn two days earlier that re-ignited.  Minnaert said firefighters were back by around 5:00 Saturday afternoon.

Shortly after that call Saturday afternoon, Minnaert said the fire department was called to the area of 238th Street and 443rd Avenue.  He said that was for a fire which ended up being a controlled burn that was not called in.

Minnaert said the fire department was called Monday morning for a vehicle fire, but that was later cancelled because the homeowner was able to get it out.
