Tuesday Cornbelt Results

A few Cornbelt league teams were in action on Tuesday night. The Lennox Only One Alpacas picked up a hard fought 6-5 victory over Dimock-Emery, in their season opener. They will have another non-league game next Friday, June 5th versus the Volga Cormorants.

The Salem Cubs saw themselves come up short in the second game of the season, falling 3-1 to Mount Vernon. Salem could only muster two hits in the game, which saw sound pitching from both sides. Cubs dropped to 0-2 on the season and are scheduled to be back in action next Tuesday at home versus Dimock-Emery.

Canova Gang, who picked up a 10-0 win on Saturday at Parkston, had their game postponed last night. They were set up to play Alexandria, but the game was moved to next Wednesday, June 3rd.

Cornbelt League play begins on Sunday, June 7th. You will be able to catch league games on KJAM Radio throughout June and July, plus the District Tournament and State Tournament games on both AM1390 and FM103. Check out the league schedule at the Cornbelt Page.
