Trojan Baseball Gets Derrion Hardie 300th Win in Weekend Sweep

The Trojan Baseball team swept their season opening series on the road against Avila (Mo.) and head coach Derrion Hardie garnished his 300th career win in the process.

Hardie is in his fourth full season and fifth overall as head coach of the Trojans. He came into the year with a 298-277 overall career record and 95-70 at DSU. The four game sweep puts him one win away from 100 wins at DSU.

This weekend was the first time the Trojans came away with a season opening sweep since 2016. Their 4-0 start is the best start for DSU baseball since 2007. They even scored a season-high 21 runs in Game 4 to round out their sweep.

The Trojans return to action this weekend in Joplin (Mo.) for a tournament playing Kansas Christian twice, William Woods (Mo.) once and one against (RV) Concordia.
