Thursday Youth Baseball Round-Up

The Madison Black 15-16 year olds dropped a pair of games at West Central on Thursday night to open up their 2020 summer season. The hosts took game one, 3-1, and game two, 2-0. Both games West Central plated a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning. Madison could only muster five hits over the two games.

In a 14U game, Canova defeated Salem, 9-1. Jackson Remmers drove in five runs to pace the Gang offensively. The host squad blew the game open with three runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth.

As for the 16U match-up, Salem’s early lead would hold, as they defeated Canova, 4-3. Salem scored two runs in the top of the first, only to see Canova score a run in the third and fourth innings to tie the game. The Cubs scored twice again, in the sixth, and held on for the victory. 16U Canova gang scheduled to be back in action on Saturday versus Lake Norden.
