Seven Trojans named NSAA Baseball All-Conference

The Dakota State University Trojan baseball team set another program record Thursday evening, after landing a school record seven players on the North Star Athletic Association Baseball All-Conference Teams.

Sophomore Mason Macaluso became a 2-time NSAA All-Conference selection, earning the First Team distinction for the Trojans.  He leads the team with a .400 batting average and 11 home runs. 

Freshman Kameron Bryant was also selected to the First Team as a designated hitter. He broke the Trojans single season record of 19 doubles, while also hitting six home runs and two triples.

Five players were selected to the NSAA All-Conference Second Team.  They are Ryan McDaniel, Chris Burke, JD Kirchner, Will Clair, and Cole Westerlund.

Starting pitcher Mitsuki Shimonishi and outfielder Walker Hultgren were named to NSAA Baseball All-Conference Honorable Mention for Dakota State.

The Trojans enter the NSAA postseason tournament as a No. 2 seed. DSU takes on Viterbo tonight at 7pm in Forest City Iowa.
