SDHSAA To Hold Special Meeting

The South Dakota High School Activities Association will be holding a special meeting on Thursday to discuss two main topics. The first will be the consideration of proposed summer contact guidance for SDHSAA activities and the second will be deciding what the next steps will be to forming a new football classification system.

Guidelines have been set by the National Federation of High School Sports to monitor and check on student-athletes as teams start to come together for practices and group activities. Reclassifying the football system has been a top priority this spring for the Association, but the matter of “how” has held up the process.

Those that are interested can join the meeting to listen in on the discussion, through the SDHSAA webpage. It is scheduled to get underway at 10am Thursday morning via teleconference.
