MHS Spring sports hope to continue competition next week

The harsh April weather has slowed the start of Madison High School Spring sports. But, with temperatures expected to warm next week, all three outdoor sports are hoping to get back into action.

The Madison Track & Field team has two events on the schedule next week, starting with the Bobcat Quadrangular in Brookings on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are also scheduled to travel to Watertown on Friday, April 22nd.

MHS Boys Tennis is looking for their first event of the season. The Bulldogs hope to travel to Milbank on Monday, and also have a quadrangular in Mitchell on the schedule for the 22nd.

And the Girls Golf team looks to continue their season on Tuesday, with a trip to Lennox. The girls opened their season earlier this week with a loss at Vermillion. The Bulldogs have three home competitions scheduled for May, including the Region 1A girls golf meet, at the Madison Country Club on May 26th.
