Madison Teener teams pick up lopsided wins

Both Madison 16U baseball teams rolled to big wins on Tuesday nights. The Madison Gold only needed 3 innings to complete a 17-0 win over Garretson. Madison scored 7 runs in the first inning on six hits, and then racked up 9 runs in the 3rd inning. Carrson Wolf had the big hit in the 3rd, with a 3 run triple. Wolf had 3 hits and 5 RBI in the game. Grady Kane finished with 2 hits, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Madison Gold will be back in action Thursday against West Central. 

The Madison Maroon 16U team shutdown Tea for a 10-0 win on Tuesday. Casyn Crabtree pitched the five inning shutout, allowing just 3 runs while striking out 7 Titans. Madison Maroon scored 6 runs in the fourth inning to secure the win. Tyler Olson, Cale Johnson, Will Seeley and Crabtree all had RBI’s in the fourth. Johnson and Olson finished the game with 2 hits, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored. 

The Madison Black 14U team also won big on Tuesday, defeating Flandreau 22-1 in 3 innings. Madison Black pounded out 16 hits in the game. Boyd Pooler had 2 hits and drove in 5 runs for Madison. Caleb Fischer added 2 hits, with 4 RBI and 3 runs scored. Carter Ahrendt had 3 hits with 3 RBI. Jade Wilkens picked up the win, allowing one run in the 3 innings with 3 strikeouts. Madison Black will travel to Tri-Valley today. 

And the Madison White 14U team won Monday, 19-4 over Elkton. Ethan Sims powered the Madison White offense by going 4-for-4 with 3 RBI and 4 runs. Oakley Mees had 3 hits and 4 RBI, while Tyler Olson drove in 3 runs. Olson also threw 3 innings and struck out 9 batters. Madison White will take on Tea tonight.
