Madison Girls Tennis Battling in Early Season Matches

The Madison girls tennis team was in action bright and early on Saturday morning for a home match against Spearfish.

The girls won at #3 in doubles, as well as winning flights three, five and six. The doubles teams are: Delilah & Sienna Maxwell, Cristian Rowe & Miranda Gonyo and Audrey Allen & Callie Bounds. Unfortunately, due to the depth of Spearfish’s team, the girls lost 5-4.

They also had themselves a make-up match in Milbank last night. Which was originally rescheduled due to heat.

Overall, the team lost 4-5 in its singles and doubles matches. Even with the loss, head coach Abbey Trapp says it was “the best match they played all season.”

Madison girls will be back in action once again tonight as they host Sioux Falls Washington at home today after school.
