Madison Bulldog Football moved their record to 2-0 with a 34-18 win over Canton on Friday night. Welcoming in the C-Hawks for the home opener, Madison blocked the first two punts of the game, scored on their first offense drive, took advantage of great field position and held a commanding 27-0 lead at the break. Trey Smith had the two blocked punts and overall was a menace defensively. Logan Allbee scored a defensive touchdown, recovering one of the punts in the end-zone for the Bulldogs.

Canton was held relatively in-check in the first half, but moved the ball in the third and fourth quarters and out gained Madison 343 to 208 in total yards. Nate Ricke and Carter Bergheim connected for three touchdowns, a pair of short strikes in the first half and a 54 yarder in the third quarter. Madison will remain at home next Friday night, as they will welcome in Dell Rapids to Trojan Field.
