Madison Fails To Close Door on Chargers; Lose 21-15 to Sioux Falls Christian

The Madison Bulldogs came up short on the road and fell to 0-4 after a 21-15 loss to Sioux Falls Christian.

It was a tight contest all night long at Bob Young Field. It was a genius play call late and execution of it out of the timeout from the Chargers that did in the Bulldogs in the final two minutes.

This was a nice game for Madison in the run defense. Allowing no positive yardage for the Chargers in the rush game, they finished with -15 yards rushing. Bulldogs also had five sacks in the game, two coming from junior linebacker Jordan Pederson. They also kicked off their scoring in the game with a safety on the Chargers due to a bad snap.

Madison had the ball for nearly thirty minutes, but only came away with 15 points. It was a night of turnovers again for the Bulldogs. Three interceptions from quarterback Ben Brooks and one a lost fumble.

It even became the Cole Snyder show as he could not be stopped on offense and had a pair of interceptions on defense. Finishing with eight receptions for 179 yards receiving.

The Bulldogs got the ground game going in the game and Brooks was a big part of that. Making excellent reads all night long and having 25 carries for 121 yards.

Offensive yardage for both teams only had a three yard difference with Sioux Falls finishing with more, 278 to 275. One area of cleanup for Madison from this outing will be in the realm of penalties with eight for 43 yards.
