Madison/Chester Baseball Slips in Both Games to Harrisburg; Drop to 1-3 overall

The Madison/Chester Baseball team struggled in the doubleheader with Harrisburg Legion Maroon, dropping the first game 2-1 and being shut out in game two 9-0.

The Bulldogs (1-3 overall) had trouble putting the bat to the ball in each game. Getting just four hits total and all but one coming in the first game. The pitching unit for the Bulldogs managed 15 K’s (strikeouts) in the two games, but suffered 17 of their own from Harrisburg Maroon.

Junior outfielder Jordan Pederson scored the lone run for Madison/Chester in their two games. Going 1-for-2 at the plate in the first game. Sophomore catcher Tregg McGillivray and senior designated hitter Parker Johnson went 1-for-2 as well.

In the second game, the lone hit belongs to senior Jack Olson who went 1-for-2. Senior pitcher Braxton Bjorklund managed five strikeouts for the Bulldogs in the second game, but allowed four early runs and Harrisburg never looked back.
