Madison Bulldogs vs Dell Rapids Quarriers Preview 2023

The Madison Bulldog Football team opens their season on the road tonight against the defending 11A State Champion Dell Rapids Quarriers at Quarriers Field.

Joe Bundy is in his 2nd season at the helm as head coach for the Bulldogs. Looking to bring Madison back to their winning ways. Last year they had their first losing season since 2011. Which was former head coach Max Hodgen’s 2nd season out of 12.

The Bulldogs face a daunting task in the defending champs in week one. They bring in a dynamic offense that can score from everywhere. The Quarriers haven’t lost a game since Nov. 5, 2021 against Madison.

Bulldogs bring back a lot of returners – five starters on offense and seven on defense. Madison will have a number of players playing both sides of the ball this season. They’ll need the experience they now have this season in the secondary because it will be tested by the Quarriers.

The game will kick off tonight at 7pm with the pregame beginning at 6:30pm on AM 1390.
