Madison Announces New Head Boys Basketball Coach

Madison Central officially announced on Monday the new head coach of the Madison Bulldogs Boys Basketball team. Chad White, who had been the interim head coach since near the mid-season point in the year, will now take over duties full time.

Coach White has served as an assistant coach for the Bulldogs for the last four seasons. Madison went just 2-8 in their final 10 games of the season under White. Though with a full season to turn things around, White is sure to usher in his style of play and turn this team around to the powerhouse it once was.

Prior to Madison, he taught and coached in Pipestone, MN for five years. While at Pipestone, White served as head boys basketball coach for two years and three years as assistant coach.

He is a 2009 graduate of Madison High School where he had a stellar career. Chad helped lead the Bulldogs to the State Basketball Championship in 2009 – Madison’s first basketball championship since 1945. White finished his Madison basketball career as the all-time leading scorer for the Bulldogs.

In addition to coaching, Chad is a Physical Education teacher for Madison Middle School.
