Lady Bulldogs Return Home with Win #2 in Reach: Game Preview – Madison vs Deubrook Area

The Madison Lady Bulldogs (1-10 overall, 1-3 Region 3A) hit the court again tonight as they return home to defend home court against the Deubrook Area Lady Dolphins.

Deubrook Area

The Lady Dolphins (5-10 overall, 2-2 Region 2B) is a team that has fallen off quite a bit as of late. Dropping six of their last seven games. They have also yet to win a road game this season, with all wins coming on the home. They like to spread the ball around offensively and can be disruptive on defense.

In their last win on Jan. 25, they got out to a 13-0 start against Canby and never looked back. Mainly coming by way of 3-pointer, but got early steals as well. They shot better than 40% from the field and from deep.

They’re led by head coach Brad DeBeer. Who posts a 100-45 overall record, going 4-5 in Region 2B combined this season and last. This is his first losing season after starting his first six by winning 15 or more games each season.

Madison

Madison comes into the game searching for itself again after losing one of its new key contributors, Grace Feige, having a season ending injury. Though the team still has a bulk of its players, the rotations will have to be readjusted again.

Leading the Lady Bulldogs in scoring in Audrey Nelson with 10.3 points per game. She also leads in rebounds with 6.4 a game.

If Madison can avoid unnecessary turnovers tonight at home, they have a shot to get another win. Though it will also depend on how they start. This team is one that confidence is everything for them. If they feel like they’re in the game, they’ll stay in it. Though if they feel like all they’re doing is turning the ball over, they might let the game slip away.

Tipoff is set for 7:30pm tonight with the pregame beginning at 7:20pm on AM 1390 Dakotas Best.
