Lady Bulldogs on the Road for Another Tough Road Test: Game Preview – Madison vs Vermillion

The Madison Lady Bulldogs (2-12 overall, 1-4 Region 3A) are on the road again and will take on the Vermillion Lady Tanagers, a game that was previously postponed due to weather.

Vermillion

The Lady Tanagers (12-3 overall, 3-1 Region 4A) are another all around strong team. They’re currently riding a five game winning streak. They’re a team that can be pretty suffocating in their full court press. And for a team like Madison who has a turnover problem, things could slip quickly.

Vermillion is a high powered offense that moves the ball very well and is lethal from beyond the arc. They spread the ball around as well and anyone can go off on any given night with this well rounded group. The Lady Tanagers average 54 points per game through 15 games this season.

Jon Brooks is the head coach of the Lady Tanagers. He has a 61-20 overall record and is 20-7 in Region 4A play.

Madison

Madison is coming off their highest scoring game of the season and a win over Tiospa Zina in the Dak 12/NEC Conference Clash this weekend. The Lady Bulldogs notched 61 points in a 61-49 victory at home. After the game, Karley Lurz was awarded the Player of the Game honors.

The Lady Bulldogs will have a tall task in front of them tonight. This team has made improvements over the year and players are beginning to find confidence letting the shots fly. The mix of lineups has proved to bode well as you see the different chemistry between players shine through.

Audrey Nelson leads the way in scoring at 10.5 points per game and has 6.9 rebounds per game to lead her team. The Lady Bulldogs average just 32.4 points per game through 14 games this season.

Tipoff is set for 7pm with the pregame beginning at 6:50pm on AM 1390 Dakotas Best and AmazingMadison.com.
