Lady Bulldogs Look to End Three Game Skid: Game Preview – Madison vs Lennox

The Madison Lady Bulldogs (0-3 overall, 0-2 Region 3A) hit the road for the first time this season today when they travel to Lennox to face the Lady Orioles.

Lennox

Lennox (3-1 overall, 1-0 Region 4A) comes into the game with a confident group. The Lady Orioles are 48-14 all-time against the Lady Bulldogs and 7-1 under head coach Adam Quail. Quail is in his seventh season at the helm. He is 101-40 overall at Lennox with a 32-15 Region 4A record.

The Lady Orioles are led in scoring by senior Dani Highum with 15.8 points per game. Highum also leads in rebounding with seven a game. Followed by senior Carli Kuyper posting 11.5 points per game.

As a team, they’ve scored 50+ in all three wins this year. Including a season-high 66 points against Dell Rapids on Tuesday.

Madison

Madison comes into this game off a tough time out on Tuesday night. Posting a season-low 20 points. The loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, along with their third straight loss to begin the season. The Lady Bulldogs haven’t posted this low of a point total since the 2021-2022 season against West Central on Feb. 4, 2022 when they only scored 19 in a 66-19 home loss.

The Lady Bulldogs are led by Audrey Nelson who averages 14.3 points per game. Though she’s coming off a season-low four points against Tri-Valley. Followed by Ella Peterreins with 5.3 points a contest.

This team has struggled to take care of the basketball this season. Averaging 24.6 turnovers per game through three games. If they hope to break what is a five-game losing streak, they’ll need to take care of the rock.

Tipoff is set for approximately 6:30pm with pregame at 6:20pm on AM 1390 Dakotas Best and AmazingMadison.com
