Lady Bulldogs Hoping to Match Last Seasons Win Total with Road Victory: Game Preview – Madison vs McCook Central/Montrose

The Madison Lady Bulldogs get set to play one of their last two home games, beginning with this matchup against the McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Lady Cougars.

The Lady Cougars (5-15 overall, 2-3 Region 3A) have not had much luck this season. Coming into the game with one more loss than the Lady Bulldogs with 15. The only true bright spot has been their senior forward Emma Wagner committing to Dakota Wesleyan to play basketball.

They’re currently on a seven-game losing streak and have dropped nine of their last 10 games. This is a group that will turn the ball over to you on a regular basis. Ahead of their last game, they had turned the ball over 120 more times this season than their opponents.

They’re led by head coach Brad Struck. He has a 13-28 overall record and is 5-6 in Region 3A play. McCook Central/Montrose averages 43.2 points per game through 20 games this season and allows opponents 52.3 a game.

Madison

Madison comes into the game off a nice effort in their latest home game where their comeback bid was spoiled by Milbank. They played well in the game and their improvements continue to show. The more they are careful with the ball, the more chances they give themselves to win.

Audrey Nelson leads the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 10.3 points per game. She’s coming off her best game of the year when she dropped 23 points on 55.5% shooting from the field. It’s her second 20+ point game in the last three games.
