Lady Bulldogs Fall Flat; Lose to Lady Orioles, 60-15

The Madison Lady Bulldogs couldn’t come out on top on the road, losing to Lennox 60-15.

It was a game whose start had the potential to see things be interesting for the night, but things quickly turned on their heads for the Lady Bulldogs. With the loss, they fall to 0-4 overall & remain 0-2 in Region 3A.

After keeping it close early, trailing just 9-5 midway through the opening quarter, the Lady Orioles burst things open and finished the opening quarter with 25 points. Which was their highest scoring quarter of the game and more points than Madison finished the game with.

Andie Peters led the Lady Orioles in scoring with 14 points and four made threes. Followed by Carli Kuyper who finished with 11 points. All fourteen players for Lennox saw action and 10 of them scored.

Audrey Nelson led Madison with five points and seven rebounds. All five of her points came in the second quarter. The Lady Bulldogs saw a nice mix of the rotations in this game, but no combination could put the ball in the basket. Along with the hesitancy of shooters continuing, no recipe worked tonight for the Lady Bulldogs.

Next Game

Madison’s next outing will be in the 26th Annual Girls Michael J. Entringer Scholarship Classic hosted by Colman-Egan school district. They will play Saturday against Castlewood at 6pm in Colman-Egan’s Auxiliary Gym.
