Flandreau Girls Take on Hill City Thursday Night in SoDak 16

The Flandreau Girls Basketball team will take on Hill City tonight in the Class A SoDak 16. Flandreau enters the game with a 22-0 record, and is the #3 seed of the 16 remaining teams.

The Fliers are looking to go back to the State Tournament for the 2nd year in a row, and 3rd time in the last four seasons. Despite the recent success, Flandreau head coach Megan Severtson says she tried to manage expectations at the start of the year.

Flandreau played in three Classics this year against teams not usually on their schedule. Severtson says that has helped to prepare them for the SoDaK 16.

Flandreau and Hill City play at 7pm tonight, in the Chamberlain Armory. The winner advances to next week’s Class A State Tournament in Brookings.

You can hear our complete interview with Megan Severtson during the F&M Coop Oil Pregame Show, which starts at 6:45 tonight on Jammin’ Country 103 and AmazingMadison.com
