The Lady T’s Volleyball squad split a pair of road matches over the weekend in conference play. Friday night, they dropped a five set thriller to Valley City State University via set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 25-22, 27-29, 15-9. For the match, DSU was led by Barbara Briceno who posted a double-double of 18 kills and 21 digs, Rachel Johnson had 20 assists and 18 digs for a double-double and Samantha Zell chipped in with 11 kills.

Saturday, was then a clash with Dickinson State in which DSU swept in straight sets (25-17, 25-15, 25-19). Briceno had nine kills, Hannah Jellema had eight, Nicole Sarringar with 21 assists and Peyton Groft had 11 digs. 

With the split, Dakota State sits at 14-8 on the season with a 7-2 mark in NSAA play, tied with Bellevue for second place. Tuesday night marks a three game homestand, as they will welcome in Briar Cliff for annual “Dig Pink” night at the DSU Fieldhouse.
