DSU Softball splits a doubleheader

The Dakota State University Trojan softball team faced another Kansas opponent Wednesday at Hillsboro Recreation Center as they had a double header with Tabor.  The Trojans earned a 2-1 pitcher’s duel victory in the first game, while the Tabor Bluejays won the second game 9-1 in five innings to earn a doubleheader split.

Dakota State is 5-9 overall record.

Due to impending weather this weekend, the two-day McPherson (Kan.) softball tournament has been moved to Thursday.  The Trojans kick off the day with a contest with Bethel (Kan.) at 11 a.m. and wrap the week against Langston (Okla.) at 1 p.m.
