The Pride of Canistota-Freeman scored on their first four drives of the contest to build a 32-0 advantage over Oldham-Ramona-Rutland last night in 1st round action of 9A playoff football. After a pair of touchdowns and two-point conversions late in the first half from ORR, Canistota shut the door in the second half and came away with a convincing 64-16 win at home.

Canistota-Freeman used a balanced attack offensively to keep the Raiders off balance in the first half, before the Raiders struck. A fourth down pass from Isaac Hegdahl to Spencer Wosje got ORR on the board, and they would then add another touchdown after recovering a fumble on the ensuing kickoff.

The second half was dominated by the Pride, ending with a running clock. ORR’s season ends at 4-5 while Canistota-Freeman improved to 8-1.
