Bulldogs Get Redemption on the Road; Defeat Baltic 61-42
The Madison Bulldogs get it done and reel in their first road win taking down the Baltic Bulldogs, 61-42.
A combination of sound defense from Madison and poor shooting/shot selection from Baltic early propelled Madison to an early lead they never looked back from. The win improves Madison to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in Region 3A. The 17-2 opening quarter set the tone for the game.
The Baltic Bulldogs tried to make a late-game comeback. Slowing Madison to just an eight point third quarter. Outscoring Madison 30-27 in the second half.
This is the first game of the season Madison was perfect from the free throw line. Going 9-for-9 from the charity stripe. Madison also committed a season-low 10 fouls in the game.
Baltic had a pair of guys in double figures. Jack Erickson led his team in scoring with 13 points and Mark Ditter added 11 points. Trevor Cuperus contributed six points off the bench.
Ben Brooks led in the scoring department for Madison, finishing with 14 points. Followed by a pair of guys with 11 points. Those being Andrew Comes and Shane Veenhof, with Veenhof’s points being off the bench and all coming in the second half.

Madison will be on a break without games until Dec. 30 when they play Castlewood in the Michael J. Entringer Scholarship Classic.
