Lonnie Adolph Glawe, 76 of Arlington, SD passed away November 27, 2019 at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Lonnie was born April 23, 1943 at Estelline, SD to Melvin and Eleanora (Christensen) Glawe. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arlington.  Lonnie attended and graduated from Arlington High School in 1961.  He also served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the American Legion Post 42 in Arlington.

On November 16, 1968 he was united in marriage to Sharon Nelson.  Lonnie was a long time farmer, milked cows, drove truck, worked at the creamery in Lake Norden and Larson Manufacturing in Brookings.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Lonnie would always be looking forward to watching the grandchildrens sporting events.  He also like to watch the Minnesota Twins and would have a conversation with anyone.

Lonnie is survived by his children; Cinnamon (John) Solem of San Tan Valley, AZ, David ( Shondra) Glawe of Arlington, SD and Nichole (Brian) Madsen of Arlington, SD, his grandchildren, Samantha, Morgan, Augusta, Hayley, Matthew, Seth and Blake. Great-grandchildren, Chevy and Keely,

A sister, Nancy (Tim) Vander Werff, a sister-in-law, Nelann Glawe and a nephew and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon and a brother Dennis.

Memorial services for Lonnie will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arlington.
