Kurt Hagemann

Kurt Karl Friedrich Hagemann, 45, of Watertown, SD, passed away from cancer November 19, 2022 under hospice care at the Watertown Hospital. Memorial visitation will be 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 26, 2022, at the Willoughby Funeral Home in Howard. Inurnment will follow at Belleview Cemetery, rural Howard.

Kurt was born to Janell and Curtis on November 25, 1976, in Madison, SD.  While his mother and stepfather Terry were completing college, Kurt grew up in Madison, SD, Rapid City, SD and Spearfish, SD.  He attended school in Jordan, MN; Cosmos, MN and graduated from high school in New Richmond, WI.  After high school, he pursued employment in various tradesman roles including welding, laying flooring, and building and installing signs. His work led him to multiple locations.  During his last years he resided in Watertown, SD.

Kurt is survived by his mother Janell (Terry) Milton, Astoria, SD; his grandfather Lyle Grove, Howard, SD; siblings Aubrey (Ian) Hermanson, Sioux Falls, SD; Clint Milton, Watertown, SD; Heath (Soumya) Milton, Grand Saline, TX and Katy (Adam) Des Enfants, Parker, SD; nieces and nephews: Helen and Jasper Hermanson, Keegan Milton, Ashley Wilking, Anay Milton, Amelia Des Enfants, many aunts and uncles and his father Curtis Hagemann.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Carol Grove, grandparents Kurt and Eva Hagemann, step grandparents Leeferd and Margaret Milton, an aunt and four uncles.

Arrangements are with the Willoughby Funeral Home in Howard.
