Diann Ullom, age 54, of Madison, died Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Memorial mass will be 10:30 AM on Tuesday, December 28th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Anthony Urban as the Celebrant. Visitation will be 5-7 PM on Monday at Rustand-Weiland Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9:30-10:15 AM at the funeral chapel followed by procession to the church for the mass. Online guestbook at www.rustandweilandfuneral.com. Diann Eunice Mehlum was born October 13, 1967, in Madison, SD, to James & Donna (Rhoden) Mehlum.
She graduated from Madison High School and attended Stewart’s Hair Design in Sioux Falls. After graduation, she worked in Madison at “The Hair” before starting at “The Cottage Cuts” where she worked for the next 22 years. She married Bruce Ullom in Madison on June 29, 1996.
Diann was a member of the Madison Country Club, loved to bowl, throwing horseshoes, playing foosball and attending the Sturgis Rally with Chris. Any amount of time that she had with her family and friends was a blessing. She will be remembered for ability to make friends wherever she would go, but most of all, a wonderful wife, caring mother and loving grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Ullom of Madison; four children, Melissa Ullom, Louis Ullom and Megan Ullom (fiancé, Tim Everett) all of Sioux Falls and Austin (Ryan) Thanes of Canton, SD; 12 grandchildren; four siblings, Jean Ann McQuinn (Lonnie Kaiser) of Artesian, SD, Kay Kent of Madison, Jolynn (Nels) Nelson of Junius and Harvey (Melissa) Mehlum of Madison.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Pam Mehlum; Diann’s infant twin sister, DeeAnn and granddaughter, Olivia Everett.
