Veenhof and Gerdes lead Madison at Brace-Hopfinger Relays

The Madison High School Track & Field team took part in the Brace-Hopfinger Relays Tuesday in Volga. Top performers for the Bulldogs included Shane Veenhof, who took 1st in the 110 meter hurdles. Veenhof also took 2nd in the 300 meter hurdles, and was part of the 4×200 and 4 x 300 meter relay teams that took 2nd and 3rd respectively. 

Dylan Gerdes of Madison placed 1st in the 800 and 1600 meter runs. He was also part of the 4×800 relay team that took 2nd. 

 Parker Johnson placed 1st for the Bulldogs in the shot put, and 2nd in the discus. Sawyer Hegg added a 3rd place performance in the javelin. 

Top performances for the Madison girls included Katelyn Schouwenburg taking 3rd in the javelin, and Braelyn Abraham 5th in the Discus. Kennedy Bryant placed 6th in the 300 meter hurdles, and Karley Theede 6th in the 200 meter dash.
