Two Bulldogs Finish Day One of State Golf Tournament

After the first day of the SDHSAA Class A Boys State Golf Tournament, both of the golfers for Madison finished the day in the Top 60. Jack Olson and Kaiden Guischer are the two golfers competing in the state tournament for the Bulldogs Golf team. 

Olson finished Day One in a five-way tie for 40th place with a score of 87. Guischer, meanwhile, finished the day in a five-way tie as well, tying for 56th place. Gusicher had a score of 90 through the first day. 

There is currently a four-way tie for the top spot, with Dakota Munger (Chamberlain), Keeton Newborg (Tea Area), Trey Hanson (Vermillion), and Cooper Giard (Vermillion) all scoring a 74. 

The boys will get back to the course at the Moccasin Creek CC in Aberdeen, South Dakota today to conclude the SDHSAA Class A Boys State Golf Tournament. Guischer will start the day this morning for the Bulldogs at 9:10am on hole 10, while Olson starts at 9:20am on hole one.Â
