In the Madison Wrestling Invitational over the weekend, the Madison Bulldogs had four wrestlers place within the Top 3 and ten wrestlers in the Top 5.
Carter Downs (113lb) was one of the top placing finishers for Madison, placing second overall at the invite. Downs won his first two matches by fall before losing the first place match by fall.
Caleb Hodges (132lb) and Blake Johnson (138lb) both also placed second overall, with Hodges winning his quarterfinal match by fall and his semifinal match by a 4-2 decision before dropping the first place match by a 6-5 decision. Johnson suffered a similar fate at the invite, winning two of his first three matches by fall before losing the first place match in an 18-6 major decision.
Finishing in third place for Madison was Carson Wolf (126lb) aftering winning his third place match by fall.
Cole Downs (113lb) and Layne Hess (160lb) each placed fourth and Wyatt Pickard (106lb), Henry Meyer (120lb), Tyan Braskamp (152), and Seth Arntzen (220lb) all placed fifth at the Madison Invite.

The Bulldogs will host the DAK XII Quad Wrestling meet today, which was originally scheduled for last week, and Madison will be wrestling against Lennox, Tea Area, and Dell Rapids. The match starts at 5:30pm tonight.
