Madison Wrestlers Participate in State Wrestling in Sioux Falls Starting Today

The Madison wrestling team will have four participants in individual state tournaments. Caleb Hodges (120 lbs), Isaac Henry (138 lbs), Layne Hess (160 lbs), and Riley Kearin (182lbs) will wrestle over the next few days for SDHSAA Class A individual matches. Coach Chris Waba said that the team did exactly what they hope they would this season
Waba said the goal is now to have all four wrestlers on the podium by the end of the state championships.
Weigh-ins started at 6:30am this morning with the first round matches getting underway at 9:00am. We’ll be providing updates throughout the tournament on KJAM and online on our State Winter Sports page.
