Madison Girls Tennis Stays Undefeated

After some close matches over the weekend at the West River Roundup in Pierre, SD on Saturday,  the Madison Girls tennis team was able to remain undefeated, extending their record to 3-0. Madison played Aberdeen Roncalli and Rapid City Central.

Roncalli is short handed this year, and forfeited at #1 singles and doubles. Savannah Shipley pulled out a tie break in #2 singles, which sealed the 5-4 win.

Then, Madison defeated Rapid City Central 8-1 after Central had played well at the top and bottom of the lineup. RCC picked up a tie break win at #1 doubles, but the Madison girls were able to pull out the other matches.

Stats from this past weekend are at the bottom of this story.

The Madison Invite is this Friday, August 19, and there will be 10 teams that play their top six players. The start time on Friday at 9am, then doubles starts at 8am on Saturday.
