Madison Girls Golf in Fourth Place After First Round of SDHSAA Class A Championship
After day one of the South Dakota High School Activities Association Class A Girls Golf Championship, Madison is in fourth place in team scoring. They shot a 401 in the first round, which is 113 over par. Despite the fourth position out of 13 teams, Eleni Sims was the lowest scoring Bulldog, shooting a 98 and is currently tied for 26th. Abby Palmquist and Ali Vacanti followed behind, tying for 31st and shooting a 100. Sioux Falls Christian leads after the first round in team scoring with a 352, with Maiya Muller of Beresford and Kelsey Heath of Sisseton tied for the individual championship at 75. The state championship continues today with the first tee time at 8:30 a.m.
